Dan is as dedicated to achieving excellence through charitable works as he is to the game of football. Passionate about being a positive influence and making a difference, Dan aspires to one day start his own charitable organization. Currently, he is an active member of Athletes for Hope – an organization designed to “educate, encourage and assist athletes in their efforts to contribute to community and charitable causes, to increase public awareness of those efforts, and to inspire others to do the same”. Some other athletes involved with this organization include: Andre Agassi, Muhammad Ali, Steve Nash, Lance Armstrong, Tony Hawk, Mia Hamm and Jeff Gordon. He also donates regularly to Charity: Water.

What’s Happening Now:

Currently, Dan is working on creating a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization with an unwavering dedication toward creating life-changing opportunities for under-served and underprivileged children and communities in the areas of sports, the arts and education. The Foundation will use it’s resources to collaborate with other entities who share a common goal of helping others to develop unique programs and distribute grants to qualified nonprofit organizations.
