I get asked about my training regimen quite often, so I’ve decided to create this training blog as a way to start sharing my training info with all of you. In this section, I’ll share video clips, articles, drills, workouts, training philosophies, nutrition tips and everything I’m doing and applying to my life to prepare for the 2011 season. My goal is for you to be able to take something positive away from each post, whether you learn something new to incorporate into your own diet or training routine, or simply find some motivation or inspiration.
I cannot speak about my training without first mentioning Joe Meglio. Joe is a strength & conditioning coach at the Underground Strength Gym in Edison, New Jersey. He is mentored by one of the most brilliant minds in the strength and conditioning industry, Zach Even-Esh, and has a very bright future of his own. Since I began training with Joe about 3-4 months ago, I’ve gained about 10-15 lbs. of lean, solid muscle, shed a significant amount of body fat and my strength has gone through the roof! Just last night, I SHATTERED my personal best squat record from college of 153 kilos (336 lbs.), hitting 335 lbs. for 3 reps on my last set (with a few left in the tank ). If you’re an athlete and you’re serious about your sport, you need to check this guy out.. He creates BEASTS! For more information, check out MeglioFitness.com. For now I’ll leave you with this training video from some of our recent workouts at Underground. It pumps me up every time I watch it, and I hope it’ll do the same for you! Remember to check back often for updates, or subscribe and have them emailed to you. Your comments and questions are encouraged and greatly appreciated!!

Joe Meglio training Dan Huff…now that’s an unstoppable train of success. I’m looking forward to more of these training posts. I’d also like to hear about nutrition suggestions.
